Fetch Fur Pets

We invite schools and organizations to lend a “paw” to help Kansas City’s homeless pets by participating in the 6th annual metro-wide Fetch Fur Pets Contest.

NBC Action News Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak will honor the top two schools/organizations during the 12th Annual Kansas City Pet Telethon on Sunday, March 4, 2012. In addition to the three-minute live segment during the Telethon, the top two winners will be featured in a custom commercial spot during the telethon program.

Students are encouraged to be as creative as they like to raise funds for the animals.

The winners of the 2011 Fetch Fur Pets Contest were:

Bentwood Elementary came in 1st place with $1,018.50 through a bake sale.

Liberty View Elementary came in 2nd place with $909 through a pet photo contest.
